Warehouse Associate

SHIFT: Monday - Friday / 6:00am - 2:30pm

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• Read orders accurately
• Enter information into the system accurately & properly
• Locate books in the warehouse according to customer order specifications
• Organize books according to condition
• Follow department procedures regarding proper processing, sorting, and packaging
• Stage product for loading/supply line as needed using a manual pallet jack
• Tag inventory & place in designated areas using a manual pallet jack
• Package product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Manage workflow & keeping work areas clean & organized

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, and over shoulder on a consistent basis throughout the shift, with minimal breaks of no longer than 10-15 minutes
• Must be able to stand for 10 hours a day
• Manual pallet jack experience required
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts, communicate easily, and come up with solutions to problems
• Must have the ability to climb, stand, push, and pull at least 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
• Self-starter – Must be able to work with little supervision
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are required; Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend conversational English to be able to read stock orders, safety rules, and instructions in the use of equipment
• Safety oriented

• Previous forklift experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
