Infant/Toddler Teacher
We are a daycare seeking a nurturing Infant/Toddler Teacher to meet the basic and educational needs of our students. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging classroom activities, communicating effectively with staff and parents, and maintaining a safe learning environment at all times. Additionally, you should serve as an excellent role model for our young students.
To excel in this role, you should be creative, energetic, and adept at encouraging self-expression. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the factors that influence early childhood development.
At Discovery Clubhouse/Northstar Preschools, you will join a TopStar Endorsed facility with high-quality classrooms rated by the Childcare Quality System of Utah. We are committed to investing in our employees through two full days of professional development, monthly trainings, and support for obtaining a CDA Credential.

Hours: 35-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a curriculum and activities designed to foster students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Encourage self-expression with understanding, flexibility, and positive reinforcement.
- Model appropriate behaviors and contribute to positive behavior and social interactions among children.
- Build secure relationships with the children.
- Document daily events in ProCare for parents.
- Maintain close communication with parents as needed throughout the day.
- Attend parent and staff meetings.
- Adapt the program to meet the needs of individual children or groups.
- Assist with potty training and diapering.
Qualifications:
- Meet annual professional development requirements as per state regulations (training provided).
- High school diploma required.
- Caring, patient, and passionate individual who enjoys teaching young children.
- Strong customer service skills for effective communication with parents.
- CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications (can be obtained after hire).
- CDA (Childcare Development Associate) is recommended.
