Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity.

Baton Rouge Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Middle School Dean of Students to join our expanding school. The Dean of Students reports to the Principal and is a key member of the campus administrative team.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Coordination, facilitation and implementation of disciplinary intervention program as well as PBIS program.
- Motivate students in a positive direction to increase individual decision making responsibilities.
- Ability to serve as part of the extended leadership team being solution oriented, planning and facilitating staff meetings and cultural community projects and events.
- Work cooperatively with the principal, counselor, faculty, students and parents towards a positive school culture.
- Provide proactive leadership to engage the school community in the delivery of programs and services to support the students’ academic achievement and personal and social development.
- Ability to successfully work with culturally diverse families and communities and to work successfully and positively with all students providing them with assistance in meeting their academic & behavioral goals.
