Outdoor Pursuits Facility Attendant

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Silo Ridge Field Club, set outside of Amenia, New York.

Silo Ridge Field Club is seeking a Seasonal Outdoor Pursuits Facilities Attendant to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department. This position is available July 1 – Sept 1, 2025.

The Outdoor Pursuits Facilities Attendant will ensure that the highest level of service is offered to the members of our Club by providing the member with personal and professional service throughout the property when pertaining to any and all Outdoor Pursuits facilities. The Outdoor Pursuits Facilities Attendant role is a very hands on role and encompasses the cleaning, restocking and overall site preparedness for both indoor and outside facilities. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

• General
  • Follow the Outdoor pursuits Standard Operating procedure at all times.
  • Perform duties and tasks throughout the Club as assigned such as but not limited to stocking, cleaning and preparing for facilities for members excursions and activities.
    • Pool towel collection, transportation, washing, drying and redelivery to required stations.
    • Consistently clean and organize Family Barn arcade, theater and craft rooms.
    • Equipment care and organization at OP Central / Backyard facilities / Har Tru tennis court / Bait Shop and Beach facilities.
    • Disposal of trash and replenishment of receptacles at all OP facilities.
    • Assist, when directed, at the slide of the Silo pool complex.
  • Attend the morning briefing.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for Outdoor Pursuits-Communicate effectively with your supervisors and managers.
  • Be an ambassador of the property and DLC at all times on or off property.
  • Maintain adherence to and stay abreast to any changes of the Employee Handbook.
  • Need to be on time when starting a shift, prompt with each job assignment.
  • Stock Control: Help to implement monthly stock take/inventories of all parts and tools require for area as advised by OP Manager.

  • Greeting all members.
  • Supplying members with towels if necessary.
  • Keeping towels and suntan lotion stocked at stations
  • Helping members in and out of the water with water equipment-Insuring safety of members and children in and around the pools and beach.
  • Tending to members and guests utilizing Outdoor Pursuits areas, ensuring and maximizing their safetyand enjoyment at all times.
  • Assisting members and guests in and around daily duties.

• Previous experience in the guest service industry.
• Experience in hospitality is preferred but not required - Ability to work flexible hours and on the weekends.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
