Key Responsibilities
o Store all OP and activity equipment in the correct location.
o Touching base and maintain enthusiasm with members on a daily basis, encouraging activities and putting into place all necessary preparations for the trips and excursions to provide world class service and instruction.
o Facilitate and instruct members and staff in the activities and sports the club offer which you are experienced and/or qualified in.
o To ensure member and staff safety at all times.
o Refer any requests regarded as unsafe or any guests refusing to cooperate on safety issues to management.
o Ensure that all related equipment are maintained in excellent working order.
o Effect repairs as necessary.
o Coordinate orders to ensure necessary parts are obtained following standard PO procedure as well as following set budget guidelines.
o Ensure all monthly safety checks are carried out & followed up and logged on the system.
o Ensure correct presentation of the OP department areas ensuring that it is clean, organized and professional.
o Make sure that all equipment is secured at the end of each day.
o Make sure that equipment is accounted for and that all members are safely ashore.
o Conduct guest count as required.
o Assist in other OP services as required, including ropes course, and assist with any duties that may be requested by your manager or supervisors.
o Drive the power boats for member excursions, transfers and snorkel trips in accordance to the guidance and directions given by the management and the power boat protocol.
o Ensure correct boats are used for correct purposes.
o Ensure the boat fleet’s regular maintenance is carried out and recorded.
o Ensure the boat fleets regular safety checks are carried out and recorded.
o Any concerns with potentially faulty equipment must be reported to management and taken off the vessel until inspected by management.
o Ensure that all necessary safety equipment is available and in perfect working order. This includes lifejackets, first aid kits, spinal board, oxygen, flares, fire extinguishers and all related safety equipment.
o Ensure boats are kept clean, polished, fueled and presentable.
o Ensure the mooring systems on the docks are well maintained and carry out repairs to include cleats, lazy-lines, mooring whips, fenders and cushions.
o To ensure guest and staff safety at all times. Refer any requests regarded as unsafe or any guests refusing to cooperate on safety issues to management.
o Ensure docks are kept at an appropriate standard.
o Organize and coordinate the use of boats.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a 4-5 star resort setting or in the luxury related field.
- Previous experience in the guest service or hospitality industry.
- First Aid and CPR certified.
- Powerboat Level 2 as a minimum powerboat qualification.
- Must hold a Kitesurfing Instructor qualification.
- Scuba equipment servicing technician qualifications a plus.
- Applicant MUST be a STRONG swimmer.
- Good judgment and decision making.
- Personable, approachable, creative and adventurous.
- Taking care of all of our members & guests needs.
- This position will require the ability to drive a golf cart and boats and marine craft.
Additional Requirements
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
