About the Role:
Discovery Learning Center Preschool is hiring a dedicated Preschool Teacher to lead our 3-year-old classroom. Since 2005, we've provided quality, faith-based care to children in the Harker Heights community. Our goal is to help each child grow through hands-on learning, consistency, and character-building moments.
What You’ll Do:
- Guide a group of 2 or 3-year-olds in daily routines and activities
- Teaching age-appropriate lessons using our ABEKA curriculum
- Foster a classroom that encourages kindness, responsibility, and fun
- Supervise children to ensure a safe and nurturing environment
- Work as part of a supportive and positive team
- Complete 30 hours of annual training required by licensing
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to get certified)
- Familiarity with Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care
- Experience with young children required
- Dependable, patient, and passionate about early education
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 7:30 to 4:30
- Pay: $12.00 - $14 per hour depending on experience
- Work Location: On-site
