Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join our team at TPA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science and will inspire students to explore the world around them. This role involves developing engaging lessons, integrating cutting-edge technology, and creating hands-on, real-world learning experiences that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging science curriculum for grades 6-8, aligned with Florida State Standards and STEM principles.
- Lead hands-on science projects and experiments, encouraging real-world application of scientific concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Integrate technology, simulations, and innovative teaching tools to enhance student learning.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and support their academic growth.
- Mentor students through extracurricular STEM activities, including science fairs and competitions.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment that promotes student engagement and critical thinking.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s STEM-focused mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, or related field.
- Valid Florida teaching certification in Middle Grades Science (Grades 5-9) or eligibility for certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of middle school teaching experience preferred.
- Proficiency in integrating technology and innovative tools into science lessons.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for STEM education and commitment to student success.
