What you'll get to do:
- Adhere to company safety policies, conduct safety inspections, and immediately report hazards to the Packaging Manager; contribute to safety awareness through training
- Understand production schedules and ensure that teams have the necessary resources to meet goals, reporting concerns to management after shifts
- Oversee CIP processes, proper labeling, and packaging setup, ensuring Brite tanks are tested for carbonation levels and documented
- Perform daily pre- and post-shift inspections, resolve issues before production begins, and support troubleshooting of equipment problems
- Ensure all employees follow GMPs, standard operating procedures, and use PPE; assist in training new hires and coach employees on performance or behavioral issues
- Monitor machine efficiency, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and support production changeovers as needed
- Ensure all paperwork, including line and packaging records, is completed accurately and on time, maintaining accurate data systems like ERP
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring products meet safety and customer specifications
- Follow and support SQF policies on pest control, allergen management, and sanitation; report food safety issues to Quality Assurance for corrective actions
- Be prepared to cover breaks, fill in for managers, and ensure the shift's operational success
- Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others
- 2 years of leadership experience is preferred
- Manufacturing experience is preferred
- Great problem solver/quick learner
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for safety/efficiency improvements
- Dependability is required
- Must have a high stress tolerance, manufacturing is a high-pressure environment
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- You are expected to embody the company values of collaboration, assuming good
- intentions, and communicating in a professional manner
- Basic computer skills required, will train on ERP and other company software when
- needed
- Internally driven to learn and improve skills related to job and leadership
- Extended shifts, overtime, and weekends may be needed based on business needs
- Flexibility in work hours is necessary to meet operational demands
- High school diploma or GED required
