Live and Linear Tooling Team (LILOX)
This specialized team oversees the management of Live and Linear broadcasts across Disney and Hulu. Key responsibilities include ingesting airings, ensuring seamless scheduling without gaps or overlaps, resolving contracts for blackouts or features like replay / lookback, and developing tools for managing live events, stream health, and fallback logic.
Your Responsibilities
Develop web applications using React, applying strong software development principles and design methodologies (object-oriented or functional).
Prioritize and manage individual project deadlines and deliverables effectively.
Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
Build high-quality, user-centric products.
Participate in on-call rotational support as needed.
Basic Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience.
Proven expertise in Frontend UI development.
A strong desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands adaptability.
Exceptional problem-solving skills to accurately identify root causes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and git for source control.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Proficient in technologies / services such as Terraform, Jenkins, and Docker.
Experience with React, Angular, and NodeJS.
Experience in API development.
The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA, and New York City, NY is $117,998 to $158,290 per year; in Santa Monica / Burbank / Glendale / L.A., California, and Bristol, Connecticut, it's $112,586 to $151,030; and in San Francisco, California, it's $123,328 to $165,440 per year. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may also be part of the compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
