About the Role & Team

We are Disney's Yellow Shoes, the in-house creative agency for Disney Parks and Resorts Worldwide. Every day, we create compelling, impactful creative content for one of the most beloved brands on the planet. Help inspire that magic by being part of a team that exists to push the limits of entertainment marketing and create the never-before-seen!

We are looking for a Director/Cinematographer/Photographer - Yellow Shoes to create authentic, evocative video and photographic content that illustrates the magic of the global Disney destination experience. Director/Cinematographer/Photographer - Yellow Shoes will work with internal creatives in addition to external advertising agencies and production staff.  You will handle sophisticated assignments, including directing on-camera talent, and will be knowledgeable in all current photography, video, and social media trends, techniques, hardware, and software applications. You will be an encouraging leader on set and a positive role model to all members of the production.

You will report to the Director, Programming/Media Network Synergy & Marketing.

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do
  • Create outstanding video and/or photographic content for marketing campaigns, websites, social media, etc.

  • Use various video and/or photographic techniques and lighting equipment to capture quality video and/or photos.

  • Have the experience and ability to direct on-camera talent

  • Collaborate with exciting DPEP partners such as Disney Parks, Resorts, Cruise Lines, and Adventures by Disney.

  • Work closely with many of our advertising agencies.

  • Collaborate with Yellow Shoes Creative Directors and Art Directors to find creative solutions.

  • Lead multi-discipline crews.

  • Analyze captured content, create looks, and present work to the teams involved.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 8 years of experience crafting consumer-focused photographic and video content.

  • A passion for the global Disney brand.

  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

  • Experience with multiple image management hardware and software solutions.

  • Have a working knowledge of Business Affairs and Legal.

  • Experience working with Advertising/Marketing agency teams.

  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to travel globally.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Be proficient in architectural, food, and live show/event video and/or photography.
  • A passion for current trends in video and/or photography in social media.
  • Proficiency with different types of cameras, lighting, and post-production imaging systems.
  • Manage multi-discipline crews.
  • Ability to exercise schedule and budget management skills.

Education
  • High School degree or equivalent or comparable work experience.

This position is located in Anaheim, CA.

The base salary for this position in Anaheim, CA is

$148,700.00 - $199,400.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.


The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $148,700 - $199,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
