Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist

About the Role:
Are you passionate about cyber defense, automation, and securing mission-critical infrastructure? We are looking for a Cyber Defense Infrastructure SME to join our elite cybersecurity team. In this role, you will develop, enhance, and secure enterprise cybersecurity tools while working at the forefront of incident response, threat detection, and security event monitoring.
You'll be responsible for building and optimizing cybersecurity tools, integrating security solutions, automating processes, and ensuring system resilience against evolving threats. If you have deep expertise in Linux-based security infrastructure, cybersecurity automation, and compliance frameworks, we want you on our team!
What You’ll Do:
Develop, maintain, and enhance cybersecurity tools to support threat detection, incident response, and event monitoring.
Administer and optimize Linux-based infrastructure to support high-stakes cybersecurity operations.
Deploy and integrate cutting-edge cybersecurity applications, algorithms, and automation tools to enhance security workflows.
Test, implement, and manage security hardware and software solutions to fortify enterprise security operations.
Ensure high availability and reliability of security tools through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Analyze and integrate security data from multiple sources for real-time threat response and forensic analysis.
Research and implement emerging cybersecurity technologies to continuously strengthen security defenses.
Automate system administration and security workflows using tools such as Splunk, Oracle/SQL, and Python.
Work closely with security teams and stakeholders to align security solutions with compliance frameworks and best practices.
Support system accreditation and compliance efforts following NIST 800-series and FISMA standards.
What You Bring to the Table:
8 years of experience in deploying, managing, and securing enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure.
Strong expertise in Linux-based system administration for cybersecurity operations.
Hands-on experience in cybersecurity application development, testing, and automation.
Proficiency in Splunk, Oracle/SQL databases, and Python scripting for security automation.
Expertise in threat detection, cybersecurity event analysis, and incident response methodologies.
Knowledge of secure software development, cybersecurity data analysis, and network security operations.
Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have but Not Required):
Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
