**Distant Smoke Diesel Job Announcement: Shop Hand**

Distant Smoke Diesel is seeking a Shop Hand to assist with daily shop tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Providing general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical support

- Loading and unloading delivery trucks

- Cleaning and maintaining equipment as directed

- Ensuring that workers and technicians have the necessary tools to complete their assigned tasks

- Assisting project managers, shop supervisors, and the quality inspection team as needed - Operating equipment such as power tools, saws, grinders, and drill presses - Performing general preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and APU services

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

- Previous experience in manufacturing or shop work, including metal or wood shop classes (preferred)

- Mechanical aptitude - Familiarity with hand tools

- Ability to analyze situations and prioritize tasks

- Strong communication skills

- Exceptional hand-eye coordination

- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 70 pounds

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
