What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Hand position at INTERSTATE X?
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard and surrounding areas
- Perform groundskeeping duties such as mowing, trimming, and edging
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including planting, watering, and fertilizing
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Have basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailer. Be able to do tire change Tires on semis.
- Provide general assistance with property upkeep.
Skills:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in yard maintenance
- Ability to operate equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and snow plows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
