Logistics Manager

We are seeking a Logistics Manager who will be responsible for the oversight and optimization of our transportation operations. This role will be instrumental in managing our transition to a 3PL partnership, overseeing implementation processes, and ensuring the seamless integration and management of this partnership into our operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in logistics, transportation, and vendor management, along with a proven ability to lead complex projects and drive continuous improvement.
 

What you will be doing:

• 3PL Implementation: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the 3PL partnership implementation. Ensure seamless integration with existing operations and alignment with company goals.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the 3PL provider, monitor performance metrics, and address service issues proactively.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement transportation strategies that leverage the 3PL partnership to enhance cost efficiency, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
• Logistics Oversight: Oversight of day-to-day shipping operations, working closely with the 3PL and network of CDCs to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Compliance: Ensure all transportation operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Data Analysis: Use analytics to establish and monitor KPIs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for process improvement.
• Problem Solving: Resolve transportation-related issues, including delays, damages, or customer complaints, in a timely and effective manner.
• Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Operations, Sales, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of the 3PL partnership into overall business operations.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with freight operations, including LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping.
• Demonstrated success in managing carrier relationships and optimizing transportation networks.
• Expertise in 3PL operations and logistics management.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Thorough knowledge of freight operations, including LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations, including DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in exploring data, creating spreadsheets, and building presentations.

• Comfortable with Google Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience implementing and managing 3PL operations is highly preferred.
• Experience with international shipping preferred.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $88,000  based on degree of experience
