What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at District 19 Community Services Board?
District 19 Community Services Board is recruiting an Administrative Assistant. This position is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Administration and Finance.
The incumbent will assist the director by completing processes, data entry, and/or operations that support the Administration and Finance Department and its various programs.
This position will be required to support department programs when administrative support coverage is needed. Additionally, assisting the director with scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and other related tasks is required.
Requirements:
- High school degree of general education diploma (GED) required, minimum one (1) year position related experience in data entry and office administrative support up to three (3) years preferred; experience in behavioral health environment preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
- Valid VA driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Advanced proficiency with standard office applications such as Word, Excel, TEAMS, and other platforms.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills to include word processing, data entry, data manipulation and verification, filing systems, office practices, reimbursement policy and procedures, in behavioral health office environment.
Other:
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Skills in accurate and efficient typing in computer applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer programs to include Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Excellent oral and written skills showing proper use of grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to work independently, with supervision and complete assignments.
- Ability to efficiently utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Ability to communicate with individuals, vendors, and other related stakeholders
Salary:
This position is a Grade S-N4. Salary range $50,068.00 - $56,329.00
Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30

District 19 Community Service Board is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness (PSLF).
