Description
Under the direct supervision of the Intake Supervisor, this person is responsible for all aspects of providing intake services for criminal matters referred by Law Enforcement Agencies Employees in this classification perform clerical work and direct assistance to the office which assigned in the areas of clerical, data entry, and receiving documentation in an electronic or paper format and creating, scanning and maintaining documentary evidence of all type in the Prosecutorial case tracking system. Performs related work as required.

- Acts as a lead worker. Performs clerical functions requiring considerable discretion and specialized knowledge related to the Office of the District Attorney.
- Professional communication and analytical skills are required to represent the Office to internal departments, and external agencies with limited contact with the general public.
- Responds to routine inquires and requests for information; directs non-routine issues and concerns to other office supervisors or employees.
- Proofreads, organizes and distributes information and material.
- Prepares case files with documentation.
- Uses telecommunications as needed to accomplish tasks.
- Files and retrieves various records, files, forms, reports and correspondence and / or related office documentation as needed
- Monitors case as requested by supervisor.
- Assists on special projects as needed.
- Performs other work as directed by Supervisor.

Work Environment : The primary duties of this position are performed in a professional office environment. Out of assigned office duties are minimal.
Physical Demands : As needed to perform the essential functions of the position. Which include but are not limited to :
Required Education / Qualifications : Persons in this class will possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions as determined by the District Attorney.
Desired Qualifications : (1) Experience in handling paperwork and processing paperwork, electronic records and manipulating access to multiple computer systems in a Windows environment. (2) Experience working with law enforcement records and documents.
Salary Range
Starting salary commensurate with experience -with benefits, paid health for employee, retirement benefits and paid holidays.
