Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for providing short-term, goal-oriented counseling to address identified needs and explore available options. You will work closely with adolescents, families, and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans and monitor client progress.
Your primary objective will be to enable adolescents to recognize and utilize internal and external resources to address issues and problems and resolve needs.
You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve desirable outcomes for adolescents, their families, and the school community.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess a Master's degree from an accredited school of social work, counseling, or related program. You should also hold a Licensed Clinical Master of Social Work or Licensed Professional Counselor certification by the State of Michigan and be qualified to receive third-party insurance payments for mental health services.
A minimum of two to three years of experience providing adolescent/family social work in a community health setting is preferred. Current CPR certification is also required.
