Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for payment in accordance with company policies.
- Manage vendor accounts, including reconciliation of statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording debits and credits accurately.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist in preparing tax-related documents as necessary.
- Utilize accounting software such as UltiPro and ADP for data entry and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards in all accounting practices.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline accounts payable processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Workday and ADP is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for vendor interactions and internal collaboration.
- ADP and Workday experience preferred.
- Experience in high growth company (e.g high transaction volume or multi entity)
