About the Position:
Johnstown-Monroe Local Schools is seeking a detail-oriented and organized EMIS/Data Coordinator to ensure accurate and compliant data reporting for the district. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing student and staff data, supporting district operations, and ensuring compliance with Ohio Department of Education reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and Coordinate EMIS Reporting – Oversee the district’s EMIS, ODDEX, SSID, and other required data systems, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of reports.
• Data Accuracy and Compliance – Verify student enrollment, residency, attendance, discipline, and testing data to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Training and Support – Provide training on Student Information System (SIS) software updates and assist staff with data entry and reporting.
• Collaboration – Work closely with the Superintendent, Treasurer, and school administrators to improve processes and ensure data integrity.
• Specialized Reporting – Prepare and submit reports, including Civil Rights Data Collection, Special Education compliance, and Career Technical Education (CTE) reporting.
Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in office software (spreadsheets, databases, word processing).
• Knowledge of EMIS reporting, Ohio school law, and student data systems preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Favorable FBI/BCI background check required.
