About the Position:
Johnstown-Monroe Local Schools is seeking a detail-oriented and organized EMIS/Data Coordinator to ensure accurate and compliant data reporting for the district. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing student and staff data, supporting district operations, and ensuring compliance with Ohio Department of Education reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and Coordinate EMIS Reporting – Oversee the district’s EMIS, ODDEX, SSID, and other required data systems, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of reports.
Data Accuracy and Compliance – Verify student enrollment, residency, attendance, discipline, and testing data to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
Training and Support – Provide training on Student Information System (SIS) software updates and assist staff with data entry and reporting.
Collaboration – Work closely with the Superintendent, Treasurer, and school administrators to improve processes and ensure data integrity.
Specialized Reporting – Prepare and submit reports, including Civil Rights Data Collection, Special Education compliance, and Career Technical Education (CTE) reporting.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in office software (spreadsheets, databases, word processing).
Knowledge of EMIS reporting, Ohio school law, and student data systems preferred.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Favorable FBI/BCI background check required.
