Duties
WORK SCHEDULE: Per contracted days
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Technology Services, the technology assistant is responsible for installation and maintenance of all technology hardware and software for Jessieville School District.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To install, maintain and repair all district hardware, software and peripheral devices
- To use the technology work order system to ensure that issues are taken care of in a timely manner
- To assist users (students, teachers, and administrators) to resolve technical issues
- To maintain Internet services for connectivity and CIPA
- To manage all software and hardware inventory
- To attend and participate in training as directed by the technology director
- Must have physical ability and stamina to handle installation of heavy equipment, wiring installation and any related technology task as assigned by the Director of Technology
- To perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by employee’s supervisor, the principal, or the superintendent
- To provide basic troubleshooting of computers, peripheral devices, network printers and copiers
- To maintain computer supplies such as keyboards, mice, printer toner, projector bulbs, digital cameras and supplies for cameras, etc.
- To perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by employee’s supervisor, the principal, or the superintendent
- To maintain inventory of computers and peripheral devices
- To be the Administrative contact person for the Department of Information Systems and ADE
- To train and assist eSchool users
- To oversee and submit Cycles 2-7
- To be the point of contact for district website issues, updates, maintenance with the web-host company
- To perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Education
Minimum of high school diploma or GED with an accredited educational institution and/or post-secondary training/job related experience in electronics, networking, and technology. Other requirements per job description.
Experience
Minimum one year experience in a job related field or educational equivalency. Other requirements per job description.
Certificates & Licenses
Valid certificate or license to comply with the necessary requirements to meet the position’s essential duties and responsibilities, including on-going training for renewal.
Computer Skills
Ability to apply all levels of computer programs (spreadsheet, Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, others) to enhance job performance. (Others could include APSCN, HAC/TAC, web site design, Google domains, installation of new technologies and technological developments)

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the school community.
Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all federal, state, and district requirements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and the general public.
