ESY Life Skills Support Teachers

At the current time, vacancies exist for Extended School Year Life Skills Support Teachers within the Norristown Area School District for Summer 2025. The vacancies for this position are at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.

Qualifications: 

• PA certification in Special Education N-12 or Special Education 7-12
• Bachelor's degree in Education
• Experience working with Special Education Students preferred
• FBI, Pa Criminal Background, and Child Abuse clearances

Duties & Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain IEP in compliance.

• Maintain accurate data on students daily progress.

• Maintains poise and composure. 

• Maintains professional attitudes.

• Communicates with parents about students’ progress.

• Demonstrates appropriate language usage.

• Oversee paraprofessional support for students

Schedule: 

Monday- Thursday

July 1-July 31, 2025

Middle/High School- 7:45 am- 12:15 pm 

Elementary School-  8:45 am- 1:15 pm

Pay Rate:

$55/hour
