Position Summary: This position requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual with strong financial and human resources expertise. The School Treasurer & Human Resource Officer will be responsible for the overall financial health of the district while also overseeing all aspects of human resources management. This includes, but is not limited to:
School Treasurer Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee the district budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial stability.
- Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and reconcile bank statements.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the school board, administrators, and state agencies.
- Budget Analysis: Analyze budget data to identify areas for cost savings and potential financial risks.
- Grant Management: Manage grant applications, track grant funds, and ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
- Investment Oversight: Manage district investments to maximize returns.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all state and federal financial regulations.
Human Resource (HR) Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Hiring: Post job openings, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and make potential hiring recommendations.
- Onboarding: Develop and implement new employee orientation programs.
- Employee Benefits: Administer employee benefits plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Performance Management: Oversee employee performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop professional development plans.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, investigate complaints, and mediate disputes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll calculations and ensure accurate and timely payments.
Qualifications:
- Salary based on credentialing and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in school finance or a related field.
- Experience with human resources management in a school or other organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive Applications, and accounting software.
