Ditch Witch of the Carolinas is the authorized dealer for the full-line Ditch Witch Equipment, Hammerhead Piercing Tools, American Augers, Morbark Chippers, Rayco Stump Grinders, Trailers and Attachments.
JOB DUTIES SUMMARY:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the safe, profitable and efficient operation of a full service branch. The Branch Manager strives daily to provide superior customer service for the full product line, grows parts & service business to meet the demands of a robust construction & underground utility market, meets or exceeds goals.
This is a "hands-on" position managing from the floor engaged in the daily activity with customers, the shop and parts counter.
* Promote & enforce company policies, procedures and processes including safety and ensuring the highest level of customer service and operations.
* Responsible for inventory control, adherence to established dealer and manufacturer service process and CSI performance scores.
* Assigns & delegates work, monitors progress, communication with customers on the status of parts orders, service repairs, inventory status, work flow, etc.
* Reviews paperwork, work-in-progress and completed work to ensure repairs and parts orders are moving forward in a timely & accurate manner.
* Responsible for assigning duties for facility and grounds and vehicle maintenance: Selects vendors and manages preventive maintenance for shop equipment including but not limited to cranes, fire extinguishers, forklifts, security systems, wash bays, tools, etc.
* Provides leadership and assistance, training, guidance and accountability with parts & service staff
* Proactively engage with customers
* Outsource or assign internally as applicable, the grounds, facilities, housekeeping and vehicle maintenance duties
REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:
* Valid driver's license; Insurable
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Supervisory experience in dealership service department
* Sales & customer service oriented
* Conflict resolution and negotiating skills
* Punctual and dependable
* Ability to operate construction equipment and standard shop tools
* Knowledge of industry-related safety, OSHA & EPA regulations
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Proficient with parts & service software, preferably CDK
