Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve individual sales goals in the assigned region.
- Travel within the region (approximately 50%-75% of the time).
- Develop and implement a regional sales plan and marketing activities.
- Generate and qualify sales leads through business relationships, lunch & learns, and market investigations.
- Establish account strategies for major sales opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of DITEK products and customer applications across various markets.
- Conduct detailed site surveys and reports.
- Present products to end users, integrators, engineering firms, and distributors.
- Represent DITEK at industry trade shows and events.
- Submit reports summarizing customer needs, new applications, competition, and market trends.
- Recommend new products by evaluating current product performance and identifying market needs.
- Contribute to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and account reactions.
- Collaborate with various departments to meet performance goals.
- Provide backup support to other DITEK Field Sales Engineers as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five years in a customer-facing pre-sales role, preferably in the electronics or security industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Proficient in CRM management (Salesforce.com preferred).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel to customer locations and sales appointments.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communicator with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
- Quick learner with the ability to understand and convey product features and benefits during sales calls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
- Persistent, able to overcome objections, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented.
