In this role, you’ll make 30 daily calls, build meaningful connections, and leverage your technical acumen to handle engineering specs, RFQs, and more. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our Field Sales Engineers and uncovering exciting growth opportunities within your designated territory.

Note: This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Largo, FL. No remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts through daily inbound lead follow-up and 30 outbound calls.
- Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Handle telephone inquiries related to RFQs, purchase orders, technical questions, and site survey and meeting requests.
- Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Analyze and determine opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling potential.
- Maintain and expand the database of prospects within the assigned territory.
- Perform effective online demos to prospects.
- Follow up on FSE visits, customer samples, and drop-ship orders.
- Respond to customer questions with precision to establish credibility; handle complex situations with tact and a high degree of professionalism.
- Assist the Sales Team, as required, to meet company goals and objectives.
- Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- 3 years electrical and/or low-voltage industry experience required.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of CRM Management (Salesforce.com) required.
- Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing 30 calls per day.
- Ability to effectively communicate and quickly build rapport with customers.
- Ability to learn quickly to understand the product/service offered and to communicate features and benefits during sales calls.
- Excellent verbal and written and communication skills, including active listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate persistence, overcome objections, and maintain positive energy and attitude.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Highly self-motivated and goal-orientated.
