Job Opening: Solderer Technician
Are you a skilled technician with experience in the assembly and testing of complex products? DITEK is seeking a Solder Technician to join our dynamic team and support our manufacturing processes. If you are detail-oriented, have strong soldering skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Job Summary:
The Solderer Technician is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing process by assembling electronic components, using soldering equipment, and ensuring the functionality and efficiency of our electronics devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, solder, and test products in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
- Safely operate equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively across workstations to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Rotate through multiple stations and operate various machines to ensure smooth workflow.
- Perform complex assemblies, including fine pitch SMT/BGA soldering, rework, and testing, as per production schedules.
- Build Engineering prototypes and new design concepts, supporting Engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for solderability.
- Train and mentor Assembler I, II, and III employees.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the manufacturing and rework of Printed Circuit Assemblies, especially complex assemblies, is preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of IPC Class 2 & 3 standards, component identification, and ESD practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficiency in process improvement, troubleshooting assembly problems, and support of new technologies.
- Demonstrated hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with tools, devices, and calibrated equipment used in assembly.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to safely perform job functions without posing a threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
