Job Description: The role of a Service Specialist is crucial for maintaining and optimizing building operations. They are responsible for the ongoing maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of a building's Building Management System (BMS), ensuring it operates optimally by performing diagnostics, identifying issues, and resolving faults to maintain client satisfaction and system efficiency; essentially, they are the technical experts who keep a building's automated systems running smoothly.
Job Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance service as part of service agreements.
- Conduct periodic inspections, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Day to day system modification and repair to customer’s Building Automation Systems as required.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers, prime contractors, subcontractors and trade personnel.
- Keep current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
- Provide technical support and basic training to customers and peers.
- Adhere to company safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
- Perform service, start-ups, repairs, and trouble-shoot building environment control systems.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience working with HVAC and/or building automation systems.
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; proactively seeking to meet the needs and wants of the customer.
- Able to interpret blueprints, project plans or other technical documents.
- Solid technical skills and experience related to building automation systems with advanced computer skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the operation, installation and servicing of peripheral devices.
- Able to work with little or no supervision.
- Good communication skills, including written and verbal correspondence.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer job sites as required
- Available for occasional after hours/weekend shifts
