Order Picker - 1st Shift

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Order Picker to join our team. The primary responsibility, but is not limited to, of the Order Picker will be to fulfill customer orders by accurately and efficiently picking and packing items for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker at Diversatek Healthcare, our medical device division, in Milwaukee, WI. The Order Picker reports to the Distribution Center Supervisor. Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship various-sized parts to support quick turnaround of orders.
- Count, weigh, measure, or examine packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications.
- Stock shelves by placing material in appropriate locations.
- Follow all required ISO and FDA regulations as communicated through the Quality Management System.
- Control inbound materials, parts, and supplies for the department unload deliveries, verify contents (address, quantity, etc.), and determine appropriate handling.
- Utilize warehouse management system and other tools to track and locate inventory
- Ensure that all picked items are in good condition and properly labeled for shipping
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members to complete daily tasks and meet deadlines
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues with the warehouse supervisor
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand-held scanners to move and track inventory
- Use handheld devices to scan and track inventory and locate products within the warehouse
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols while performing job duties
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager
- Assist with receiving and processing incoming orders and prepare them for shipment
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders by double-checking items and quantities
- Maintain and organize inventory in designated areas within the warehouse
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers
- Keep warehouse clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing job duties
- Assist in other areas as needed
Required Skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, professional, and self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to walk, bend, stoop, balance, and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp, and move various materials.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Operate a stand-up forklift, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and other material handling equipment
