This opportunity is to support the 1st shift & be able to cover 2nd shift to cover for absences. This position requires being 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect all products to determine whether they meet quality standards at production and shipment.
- Understand the customer requirements and communicate the requirements to all internal stakeholders.
- Devise ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality products.
- Devise, improve, and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and train staff to use them.
- Verify the requirements for raw materials in our products and monitor their compliance to specifications.
- Verify and update Incoming Material Certification results
- Evaluate raw materials and finished goods to identify any deviations from quality standards.
- Keep accurate documentation and traceability for finished goods
- Update CMS system requirements with data for Inventory Management
- Assist internal and external audits as and when scheduled.
- Update Monthly calibration records of all Laboratory Equipment.
- Align with customer?s ECoA and GSQA systems both product specific and site-Specific
- Interact with other departments especially Production and Inventory Management
- Manage and maintain the Retain Rooms for both Incoming raw materials as well as Finished goods
- Update manuals and procedures where applicable
- Maintain Data Logs and Record Books
- Interacting with R&D for recovery of off-spec products
- Support R&D in product scaleup and manufacture
- Perform annual inspection and verification of different raw materials
- Cover and manage shifts as required
- Complete Quality inspections.
- Undertake assignments given by your supervisor.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Be part of Food Safety Committee.
- Generate Certificate of Analysis of our products for customer use.
- Maintain 5S in lab area and sample storage areas.
- Must be conversant with Laboratory Apparatus & Equipment
- Maintain Development and Experimentation Records.
- *Formulate and Maintains Product Specifications.* Ability/experience formulating adhesive products for commercial use is a Plus,
- Interfaces with Customer on Product Developments and Releases
- Participates in ? Scale-up ? Activities & Material Process Development.
- Applies Proper Experimental Methodologies in New & Revised Product Developments.
Skills and Specifications
Good data skills and detail-oriented. Must be comfortable with computers. Microsoft Office proficiency is desired.
Must be able to work in a laboratory and manufacturing team environment and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills, the ability to work well with others and project a pleasant, professional image.
Knowledge of the DCTI MRP systems is desired, but not required.
Knowledge of our raw materials and finished goods is desired, but not required.
Time spent on the job will be 30% in the production facilities and 70% in the lab/office/meetings.
Education and Previous Experience
Must have Bachelor?s degree in Chemistry/Chemical or relevant discipline.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in quality control or as chemist [desired]. Higher degree is acceptable to compensate for minimum number of years of work experience.
