Summary / Objective
With Diversified Fall Protection servicing companies nationwide, our inspectors travel all over their specified region. The ideal candidate for this role will be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Being able to travel each week, our inspectors get a behind the scenes look at some of the largest and greatest companies in the nation while inspecting the highest of quality engineered fall protection systems. This individual is responsible for bringing all appointed fall protection systems current with certification.
Diversified Fall Protection is looking for those who are easily adaptable to changing site locations and conditions as well as can flex and think on their feet. This position also has the fulfilment of knowing you are making a direct impact in creating safer work conditions for those who work from heights. Collaborating with the project management team, you will be making a difference by creating a safer work environment. Must be able to provide excellent customer service and be extremely detailed oriented.
This individual should be motivated and take pride in their work and is able to travel 95 percent of the time. Essential Job Functions
- Access site conditions to determine the process required to complete the recertification
- Compare actual site conditions to engineered drawings for discrepancies and communicate any issues back to Project Manager
- Supervise / oversee laborers and assure tasks are completed to company standards (when applicable)
- Direct communication with client, contractors, and other site personnel
- Quality control and standardization for all phases of recertification
- Proactively monitor, track, and take necessary action to complete recertification on or below estimated cost and reporting daily progress to project management
- Work, in a team effort, with Project Managers and Engineering
- Client training on system use upon completion of recertification (when applicable)

Work Environment
This position works in a variety of environments in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. This position is always in a new environment and attention to detail to practice safe working techniques is always demanded.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read prints, count onsite inventory and train to accurately complete all documentation. Must be able to operate and use all necessary equipment. Must be able to climb ladders and move items that can weigh up to 50 pounds, bend, climb, crouch, and twist. Must be able to work on your feet for 10 hours a day.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position does often have to adjust daily working hours to meet the demands of the client’s location.
Travel
You will be required to travel up to 95% of the time. You will be required to travel all 50 states and some international travel as well. Passports will be required.
Required Education and Experience
- 0-2 years civil construction inspection or construction inspection experience
- Experience with field testing apparatus
- Ability to read engineered drawings
- High School / Trade School Graduate
- Field construction means and methods
- Travel savvy with interest and ability to travel up to 95% of the time
- Valid Driver’s License and Evidence of ability to Insure
- 5 Panel Drug Screening
- Criminal Justice Background Check (state and federal)
- E-Verify Work Authorization
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Ability to legally rent a vehicle from the contracted rental car company
Preferred Education and Experience
- Fall protection inspection experience
- Heavy equipment experience (diesel boom lift, boom forklift, etc.)
- Fall protection system installations
- Basic understanding of ANSI and OSHA standards
