Position overview :

Junior Sales Engineer will support heat transfer product sales on job sites and through in-office client interactions. This role will collaborate with manufacturer representatives, contractors, and facilities personnel across the NY / NJ area to meet sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction. Junior Sales Engineer will be responsible for product selection and design to meet application needs while adhering to cost targets.

DHT provides comprehensive support and training to help you become a technical advisor and advocate for our products, offering expert advice to clients. This hybrid position involves 75% fieldwork or customer visits in the NY / NJ area and 25% remote work or office time at DHT's Towaco, NJ location.

Responsibilities include :

Conduct site visits to measure and gather data, evaluate product selection, and provide quotes.
Call on major accounts, negotiate sales prices and discounts in consultation with management.
Utilize Genius ERP system to provide quotes and follow up on sales orders to ensure on-time delivery.
Provide sales and rep support by assisting with quoting, spec review, and submittals in the sales engineering process.
Provide technical support for pre and post-sales.
Provide customer support to engineers, contractors, and end-users.
Participate in weekly team meetings.
Create and maintain project timelines and provide weekly and monthly status updates to management.

Qualifications :

Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering highly preferred.

1-2 years of experience in HVAC industry and or manufacturing setting.

Knowledge of mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic controls, machining operations, welding, and brazing is preferred.

Highly motivated self-starter, capable of working independently and able to drive concepts to completion.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with employees at all levels, building relationships with external stakeholders, and conveying complex information clearly and concisely.

Strong public speaking skills with ability to present ideas, conclusions, and recommendations with clarity to diverse business audiences.

Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MSP).

Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills using data analysis.

Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary functions (engineering, sales, operations.)

Strong attention to detail, and excellent organization and time management skills.
