Job Description
The General Managers duties and responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to:
- Manage the resources of the property including staff, buildings, marina, infrastructure, camp sites, cabins, and other assets.
- Attract new customers and guests through active marketing, excellent customer service, and adding value to the vacation experience of our guests and seasonal clientele.
- Prepare annual operating plans and monitor progress of actual versus projected figures on a monthly basis.
- Follow and ensure accurate financial accounting procedures.
- Execute routine preventative maintenance and safety programs.
- Monitor physical facility on a daily basis to ensure a top tier customer experience and safe environment.
- Assist in coordinating, planning, and participating in special events as required.
- Coordinate retail operations to maximize quality and profitability.
- Routinely inspect and ensure a top tier appearance for all property areas.
- Oversees the recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervision of all personnel including disciplinary actions and terminations when appropriate.
- Participate in development and execution of plans for improvement, growth, and expansion.
- Quickly and effectively address issues which would adversely affect the operation of the resort or guest satisfaction.
- Enforce resort rules and standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years property management/campground and/or hospitality experience required.
- 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Previous sales/leasing experience preferred.
- General knowledge of operations and basic maintenance.
- Solid negotiation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles; ability to budget income and expenses and to manage the property within prescribed financial guidelines.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, the internet, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.

- Associate (Preferred)

- Hospitality: 3 years (Preferred)
- Campground/Property Management Management: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- State Issued Driver's License (Required)
