Campground/RV Resort Manager

Job Description

The General Managers duties and responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to:

• Manage the resources of the property including staff, buildings, marina, infrastructure, camp sites, cabins, and other assets.
• Attract new customers and guests through active marketing, excellent customer service, and adding value to the vacation experience of our guests and seasonal clientele.
• Prepare annual operating plans and monitor progress of actual versus projected figures on a monthly basis.
• Follow and ensure accurate financial accounting procedures.
• Execute routine preventative maintenance and safety programs.
• Monitor physical facility on a daily basis to ensure a top tier customer experience and safe environment.
• Assist in coordinating, planning, and participating in special events as required.
• Coordinate retail operations to maximize quality and profitability.
• Routinely inspect and ensure a top tier appearance for all property areas.
• Oversees the recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervision of all personnel including disciplinary actions and terminations when appropriate.
• Participate in development and execution of plans for improvement, growth, and expansion.
• Quickly and effectively address issues which would adversely affect the operation of the resort or guest satisfaction.
• Enforce resort rules and standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years property management/campground and/or hospitality experience required.
• 3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Previous sales/leasing experience preferred.
• General knowledge of operations and basic maintenance.
• Solid negotiation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles; ability to budget income and expenses and to manage the property within prescribed financial guidelines.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, the internet, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Hospitality: 3 years (Preferred)
• Campground/Property Management Management: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• State Issued Driver's License (Required)
