This position is in performance tools development section of Virtual Product Development division of ICS.
Primary role is to develop engineering simulation software Dynasty and TomSim
This is a very exiting role that involves software development and simulation of autonomous machines
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, demonstrate, deploy, and support new or improved performance and autonomy simulation tools for product development.
- Perform re-architecture and development of new features and capabilities in proprietary multibody performance simulation software TomSim.
- Maintain simulation software testing environment and conduct software testing, improve software quality, performance and usability, develop and implement software development best practice guidelines and user support.
- Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to quickly gain, and effectively apply new skills and knowledge.
- Participate in, and build on our inclusive, constructive, and productive work environment.
- Ensure all team members’ contributions are recognized and valued.
- Software development in C and Python
- Modeling of machines using TomSim and Dynasty for autonomy simulations
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree/PhD in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 1 year experience in C and Python programming.
- Relevant internship or research experience in autonomous vehicle development
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Fundamental understanding of software development and architecture.
- C and Python programming, algorithms and data structures experience.
- Autonomous vehicle development and simulation experience.
- Robotics and Multibody Dynamics experience.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, theory, and engineering experience gained through projects, internships, and/or relevant work experiences.
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
Team player with strong technical, communication, customer focus, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through past project work.
Analytical skills, initiating ideas, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and critical thinking capabilities.
Collaborate with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities.
