Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Autonomous Systems Simulation Engineer to join our Virtual Product Development division. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, demonstrate, deploy, and support new or improved performance and autonomy simulation tools for Client product development, specifically working with proprietary multibody performance simulation software like TomSim and Dynasty.
- Develop engineering simulation software for autonomous machine development.
- Maintain simulation software testing environment and conduct software testing to improve quality, performance, and usability.
- Develop and implement software development best practices and guidelines.
- Provide user support and participate in knowledge sharing activities.
- Contribute to the re-architecture and development of new features and capabilities in simulation software.
- Model Client machines using TomSim and Dynasty for autonomy simulations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in C and Python programming.
- Strong fundamental understanding of software development and architecture.
- Experience with autonomous vehicle development and simulation.
- Knowledge of robotics and multibody dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant internship or research experience in autonomous vehicle development.
- Experience in modeling and simulation in a professional setting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in C and Python.
- Experience with engineering simulation software development.
