System Specialist

Hybrid (Onsite 3days/wk)

Description:

DSI is searching for a System Specialist who will function as a highly skilled SS3 with responsibilities listed below.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing field collected roadway characteristics data for HPMS and MIRE Data Collection project.
• Analyze, edit and update collected data.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure data accuracy.
• Analyzing data for trends that may affect data quality.
• Utilize source data such as aerial imagery, PathWeb, and street view.
• Adhere to agency data standards.
• Coordinate with vendor to identify and correct data discrepancies.
  
  

Requirements:

• Must be knowledgeable in the English language and be able to speak clearly and understandably.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
• Perform accurate data production, including reviewing data for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting errors or omissions in the data.
• Strong grasp of the fundamental principles, methods, and procedures used in data acquisition, management, analysis, and visualization in a GIS environment.
• Able to utilize appropriate software tools and procedures to process and analyze data.
• Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong communication and oral and written skills. Possess strong meeting and work session skills.
• Can work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
• Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting with little supervision.
  
  

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of transportation system (roadway attributes / network).
• Experience in Roadway Data collection and processing.
• ESRI ArcPro.
• Linear Referencing Systems knowledge helpful.
