- You must be at least 21 years old. Ability to obtain Act 33 clearances, Criminal History and FBI Act 73 clearances. A valid driver's license is required. Ability to pass Safe Crisis Management.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field.
- 2 years experience in working with at-risk youth
- Extensive training in all aspects of counseling
- Sufficient awareness of the operation of a partial program
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for communication to the Program Director, Chief Clinical Officer, and Chief Operating Officer in all situations affecting the well-being of the facility.
- Facilitating the coordination of group and individual therapy for all clients.
- Assigning tasks to the counselors to fully implement the therapeutic direction.
- Following through on all child safety issues/counseling issues.
- Supervising all documentation (including log entries, personal logs, progress notes, medication log, etc.).
- Participate in weekly management and staff meetings.
- Monitor staff to note compliance to DTAC policy/procedures.
- Monitor appropriate staff intervention and discipline with clients.
- Responsible for the overall security and safety of youth and facility.
- Responsible for the direct supervision of unit and supervising documentation, forms, and procedures necessary to carry out treatment objectives.
- Monitor staff delivery of services.
- Implement therapeutic direction established by the management team.
- Monitor staff’s ability to deliver services with feedback sent from Program Director, Chief Clinical Officer, Engagement and Crisis Specialist, and Chief Operating Officer to aid in identifying problems and initiating educational response.
- Respond efficiently to any emergency situations by setting/ implementing strategies established by Program Director, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Engagement and Crisis Specialist, and Director of Clinical Quality whenever possible.
- Monitor unit interaction between clients and between staff and client to ensure a healthy therapeutic milieu.
- Aid in the identification of problematic areas and contribute to program development.
- Develop and facilitate specialized therapy groups, including interactive family therapy.
- Act as an advocate for the clients with respect to the facility helping the youth address the therapy issues which motivate behavioral choices.
- Oversee the physical and safety needs of all clients.
- To ensure that all purchasing is authorized and within budgetary specifications.
- To maintain communication with Program Director, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Engagement and Crisis Specialist, and Director of Clinical Quality.
- To carry out all other duties assigned by Program Director, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Engagement and Crisis Specialist, and Director of Clinical Quality.
- Document and maintain client data via EMR.
