Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience And/or Training
Technology/Equipment:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivots, formulas, charts).
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or CPA/CMA certification.
Experience and/or Training: 7–10 years of progressive experience in cost accounting and manufacturing analysis.
Licenses/Certificates: None
Technology/Equipment:Familiarity with data asset management (DAM), CRM, and project management software.
Physical And Mental Demands
Sitting for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools and typing. Semi-frequently lift up to 30 lbs. Some tasks may require the employee to bend, stoop, twist, and turn.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and compare results to plan/budget and prior periods.
- Analyze top- and bottom-line performance drivers, including inventory consumption, direct labor absorption, SG&A spending, and manufacturing utilization.
- Maintain accurate costing standards, investigate and explain variances in direct labor, material usage, and purchase price.
- Track and analyze all direct costs associated with manufacturing processes. Provide insights on SKU profitability and cost drivers.
- Assist in creating and managing the annual budget process.
- Update financial models monthly to reflect actual results and revised forecasts. Serve as a backup to the CFO in refining and maintaining the overall financial model (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, debt schedules).
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Purchasing to evaluate pricing, margins, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in pricing reviews and analyze cost trends to support decision-making.
- Develop and review product pricing and evaluate business segment/channel profitability.
- Uphold internal controls in alignment with GAAP requirements.
- Manage sales/use tax, personal property, and real estate returns.
- Oversee P&C insurance renewal and treasury/cash management. Administer fixed asset management and related processes.
- Supervise and mentor accounting and cost accounting teams. Assign, prioritize, and verify work; provide coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations.
- Enforce policies and procedures consistently and maintain staff training on job functions and company rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- At least 5 years of General Ledger Accounting exposure, preferably in a manufacturing environment with financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of Internal Controls and GAAP.
- Proven leadership or project management experience.
