We are looking for a PRN COTA in the Wooster area. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients of all ages. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
This is a PRN job and an agreed-upon schedule with the Rehab Director.
Responsabilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patient's functional abilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and mobility
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies for maximizing independence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- State licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a COTA
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical imaging and diagnostic procedures related to occupational therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
