We are seeking a passionate and driven Family Law Attorney who believes in a holistic approach to family law matters. We are seeking a Full-Time Associate Attorney to join our team and help us provide exceptional, client-centered representation. Responsibilities
- Manage a divorce and family law caseload from start to finish, including drafting pleadings and appearing in court.
- Conduct initial client consultations, meetings, and ongoing case reviews.
- Collaborate with the managing attorney and support staff to provide seamless client representation.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings and agreements.
- Assist in negotiations and settlements for various legal matters.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations, particularly in family law.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal advice.
- Prepare for court appearances by organizing case files and evidence.
- Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Must be licensed to practice in Illinois and in good standing with the bar.
- Experience or coursework in family law is required.
- Proficiency in legal research tools.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
