Description
Dixon is looking for a Material Handler to join our team in West Chester, OH in our brand new, climate controlled facility! The Material Handler is responsible for transporting parts and components from their location to the appropriate assembly station and / or location as directed by work instructions and / or Supervisor. The position must keep up with demand and supply as stations consistently need replenishing until work orders are complete. Will also cross-train in all areas of the shipping & receiving departments to provide backup coverage and be well-rounded in everyday functions of material handling for the facility. Must be familiar with computerized process for preparing and printing shipping labels. Ability to lift heavy packages up to 50 lbs., as well as understand how to use lifting equipment, hand trucks and pallet jacks to move items to their proper location. Position involves standing and walking within the facility. Follow all required safety procedures.

Essential Functions :
- Transport parts and components from their current location to the appropriate location
- Deliver materials to various departments and between plant locations
- Shipping, receiving, picking and replenishment
- Keep up with demand and supply stations consistently until work order is complete
- Collaborate with colleagues to fulfill orders and maintain workflow efficiency
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels
- Learn all areas of the shipping & receiving departments to provide back-up coverage as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
