Senior Project Engineer - Manufacturing & Distribution

Reports To : VP, AME & PMO

Location : Austin, TX

Job Title / High-Level Position Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Project Engineer to lead and contribute to large-scale, complex projects within a high-complexity manufacturing and distribution environment. This role will focus on expanding our operations, including the addition of new facilities and installing new manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage diverse projects involving new building constructions and the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create layouts and process flows for cutting edge manufacturing processes.

Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and workflows.

Oversee the installation, integration, and scaling of advanced manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining, additive / 3D printing, clean room environments, and distribution systems.

Ensure project milestones are met on time, within scope, and on budget.

Identify risks and proactively develop solutions to ensure project success.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture by engaging with stakeholders across various departments.

Minimum Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar field). Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.

8 years of experience in project engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing and distribution environments.

Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex projects, including facility construction, equipment installation, and process optimization.

Proven experience in project engineering within manufacturing or distribution environments.

Strong understanding of building construction processes and lean manufacturing principles.

Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as CNC machining, 3D printing, clean room operations, and distribution systems.

Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.

Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of adapting to new challenges and learning quickly.

Certifications :

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
