What are the responsibilities and job description for the Couples Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) position at DK Counseling and Clinical Supervision LLC?
Full Job Description
DK Counseling is a private counseling practice, located in the west valley (Peoria), treating adults, adolescents, couples, and families. DK Counseling is a practice that desires to meet the emotional, behavioral, and relational health needs of the greater Phoenix area. We also come alongside and serve those looking for faith-sensitive services, where belief and religious values can be included in the process and goals for counseling. We are in partnership with Life Church Peoria and we office out of their building. This job posting is for a 1099 independent contract position. High earning potential is available, client demand is consistent, the schedules are flexible, and you can use your preferred treatment modalities. The specialties and modalities that you find most effective are open and accepted here – there is no one size fits all. Though client demand is consistent, we still need to build counselor caseloads once they are hired.
DK Counseling permits its contracted providers the autonomy to use their expertise to foster a healing environment. Our current team of providers is gifted and experience. We often enjoy and benefit greatly from collaboration, both in and outside our practice. In our practice, we have therapists from various disciplines and provide free clinical supervision to staff who maintain a consistent part-time caseload. Clinical supervision is optional for our independently licensed providers. There is also opportunity for our independently licensed providers to receive compensation for providing supervision to our staff who are in need.
We are currently seeking associate or independently licensed contract clinicians (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to work full-time/part-time in our practice. The part-time clinician will see 10 or more individual clients weekly. The full-time clinician will see 20 or more clients weekly. As either a part-time or full-time clinician, you’ll be able to create your own schedule based on you and your client’s availability. We provide office space, but also support clinicians in providing virtual services if this is a preference.
We encourage our clinicians to seek continued education and often help supplement the cost of more extensive training such as EFT and EMDR. We are currently receiving increased demand for clinicians who treat children and couples. We are also interested in hiring clinicians who are willing to learn or work with a variety of populations/presenting problems. Our clinicians are encouraged to maintain a healthy work/life balance in order to perform at optimal levels for our clients as well as for themselves. Our team has a family culture and we often provide opportunities for community in the form of team dinners or other social events.
Clinicians are allowed to be autonomous while being ethical, honest, professional, organized, and self-managed. We are above board in all we do, but we also believe in keeping things simple. We have a practice manager on staff who takes care of most intakes and initial scheduling. We do consistent marketing for our providers and do our best to provide them ideal referrals based on their specialty and interest. We also value opportunities to equip our providers and challenge them healthily to foster continued growth.
Basic Duties:
- Maintain your clients within our electronic health record system.
- Ensure required paperwork is signed by clients and documents are received.
- Review client intakes and assessments, and develop appropriate and effective treatment plans for each client.
- Facilitate therapy sessions compassionately and professionally.
- Complete clinical notes, etc. within 1 day of client interactions.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and AZBBHE requirements.
- Communicate respectfully with contractor peers in the office.
- Commit to providing faith-sensitive treatment to requesting clients.
- Be responsive.
Qualifications:
- Counselors must be licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health to provide counseling with one of the following degrees: LMFT, LPC, LCSW
- Must have or obtain current malpractice insurance in Arizona
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable Internet connection, personal computer, and phone
- Proficiency using Telehealth but willing to work in-office too
- Ability to work independently
Job Type: Contract part-time/full time
