Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment, such as tractors, excavators, graders, and loaders, in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment, including tractors, graders, and excavators, for grading, digging, and other tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to client specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and job specifications as needed.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment usage.
• Must take before and after photos/videos of jobs completed
• Be able to answer questions the customer might have at the job site

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, with expertise in tractors, excavation, and grading equipment.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Certification or training in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting, standing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Can back up a trailer (you'd be surprised)
• They will need to have experience in pulling a trailer and equipment to and from the job site.
