What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal (Dallas, TX) position at DL Group, LLC?
Distinguished, Federal Civil Law Firm is looking for 1 experienced Texas Civil Litigation Paralegal to join their team (this is an "in office" role to start but we will review your performance after 6 months for "HYBRID REMOTE" work from home consideration).
Our firm was formed by a former Prosecutor who now represents Defendants in Federal & TX State Court against civil torts related to fraud, asset forfeiture, and other alleged torts. Some of our practice is in Criminal Court as well, however, we prefer candidates with a strong CIVIL LITIGATION background. Any additional experience in TX Criminal Court or Federal Court is certainly a plus.
We will consider Litigation Paralegals from any practice area as long as you have 4 years of Texas CIVIL Litigation. We are not interested in hiring candidates who only have pre-litigation or only have criminal paralegal experience. WE WILL TRAIN YOU ON OUR PRACTICE AREAS!
DUTIES:
- Draft routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys.
- Review, organize, and summarize reports and other case materials
- Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and investigations as needed
- Assist in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial
- Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial
- Provide assistance at trial
- Experience and knowledge of the Federal Court CM/ECF system and filings.
- Ability to properly capture time and bill according to guidelines (there is not much billing on our cases)

SALARY $60,000 to $70,000
