To qualify for a Supervisory Sourcing Strategy Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

Acquisition Workforce: Position requires DoD Acquisition Life Cycle Logistics (L), Advanced Level Certification within required timeframes. Selectee must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2-years. Click here for more details and Resources.

Duties
- Serves as a Branch Chief and responsible for a wide variety of strategic sourcing functions.
- Conducts analysis of consumable and reparable parts to develop the optimum strategy for improving support per defined metrics.
- Develops tracks and reports milestones from project initiation until contract close out.
- Apply expertise in integrated logistics functions to include broad contracting principles, policies and program requirements for the development of sourcing plans and recommendations for enhancing support.
- Supervises a wide variety of acquisition and sourcing functions.
- Develops strategic sourcing strategies for long-term contract (LTCs), prime vendor or other strategic contracting requirements.
