Summary
Following creative direction, assists with the production of graphic art and visual materials for the firm’s visual identity extension across all branded elements including printed materials, environments, and online and interactive media, and video. Works closely with Art Director to create and produce the firm’s visual identity for attorneys and other internal clients firm wide.
Location
This position can be remote. Candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance to the home office and must be based in one of the following offices: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Short Hills, Tampa, Washington DC, or Wilmington office.
Responsibilities
- Designs and implements a visual identity in a way that ensures the integrity, consistency and clarity of the firm’s branding and messaging across all of the firm's touchpoints.
- Recommends medium best suited to produce desired effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication. Reviews recommendations with Art Director.
- Suggests concepts and graphic elements to meet project objectives. Prepares draft layouts to be rendered using professional design software.
- Willingness to work on a wide range of projects, from fully integrated campaigns to presentation decks, and proactively take the initiative to contribute.
- Works directly with the project manager to assure all assigned projects are completed in a timely manner. Keeps Art Director up to date on the creative process from concept to completion. Projects estimated time to complete project work. Communicates with and responds to clients in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
- Comprehends, communicates and addresses client goals, budgets and revisions throughout design management process and meets all deadlines.
- Uses existing photo and illustration libraries and typography guides to produce solutions that meet internal client’s communication needs.
- Creates original artwork, when needed.
- Ensures all files are press-ready and checked for quality prior to release to outside vendors; attends press checks to verify accuracy and quality standards are met when necessary.
- Assists with designing web-based and interactive applications in conjunction with programmers and web marketing resources.
- Drafts environmental graphics and office signage systems, as required.
- Assists with day-to-day operations of the brand function.
- Availability to work outside regular hours for high-profile projects if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required; Adobe XD, Dreamweaver, Premiere, and After Effects preferred). Working knowledge of digital design software and programming language (HTML/HTML5 and CSS). Knowledge of pre-press, offset and digital printing processes. Dual proficiency in Mac and PC platforms required. A solid understanding of design principles and fundamentals, as well as print and HTML production processes, is required Experience in Sketch, Motion Graphic, Cinema 4D or other 3D software plus experience with video editing a plus.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software; including PowerPoint and Word. Demonstrated follow-through and must be a self-starter. Ability to successfully work within a team environment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple projects on an on-going basis. Excellent digital file management skills required.
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma
Preferred Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
Minimum Years of Experience
- 2 years of experience in Professional print and digital design experience.

Physical Demands

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $65,168 - $84,722 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
