About The Job
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide critical financial insights and analysis to both plant-based and corporate teams. This role will support executive and senior leadership in strategic decision-making, financial reporting, and business performance optimization. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical expertise and communication skills to drive business growth. This position reports to the Regional CFO.
The Four General Overall Areas Of Responsibility Include:
Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the development and management of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial goals.
In office environment
Travel up to 20% - local and international
Compensation And Benefits:

About The Job
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide critical financial insights and analysis to both plant-based and corporate teams. The Four General Overall Areas Of Responsibility Include:
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the development of the annual budget and forecasts, ensuring alignment across departments and monitoring performance to drive strategic goals.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist with variance analysis, margin analysis, and expense monitoring, providing actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders and department heads to develop financial strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability.
- Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis & Recommendations: Provide in-depth, data-driven financial analysis for special projects and non-routine requests, delivering recommendations that drive operational efficiency and growth.
Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the development and management of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial goals.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and align budgets with company objectives.
- Monitor financial performance against forecasts and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of budget variances, provide explanations of the cause of the variance to senior management and provide solutions to mitigate discrepancies.
- Support the long-term financial planning process to ensure business growth.
- Ensures that key business stakeholders are well informed and knowledgeable regarding the financials from their functional area of operations.
- Review and assist with the preparation of detailed financial reports, including margin and variance analyses.
- Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on financial performance.
- Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities to senior management.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and relevant financial information is provided for decision-making.
- Partner with the sales team to analyze and report on customer profitability and identify opportunities for margin improvements.
- Work with sales leadership to develop financial strategies that align with sales targets and overall business goals.
- Provide financial insights to the sales team to support pricing, contract negotiations, and business development.
- Help the sales team understand financial metrics and KPIs to optimize sales performance and ensure sustainable growth that aligns with the business units strategic direction.
- Responsible for reviewing all Customer Rebate Award and Refund Programs.
- Provides support to include financial modeling and analysis related to operations, facilities and optimization and SWOT analysis for specific business topics/functions.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis for non-routine requests and strategic initiatives.
- Deliver in-depth reports and actionable insights to leadership based on ad-hoc analyses.
- Identify areas for cost-saving, efficiency gains, and process improvements across the organization.
- Support the decision-making process with data-driven recommendations for business growth.
- Reviews and, as required, develops justification, i.e., calculating return on investment, for capital expenditures, new projects, new products or lines of business, etc.
- Supports and participates in acquisition due diligence and coordinates acquisition integration activities.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CFA, CMA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong background in both corporate FP&A and operational or sales finance roles.
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
- Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization skills and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively across multiple departments and levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated financial business acumen and experience in performance measurement, reporting, and profitability analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with Macro and Visual Basic programming being an Asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Navision or other financial software (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Onestream, SAP, PowerBI, Cognos).
- Experience in the manufacturing, distribution or wholesale industries is a plus.
