The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows Environment, from design through implementation and support.
This position is responsible for the design of the virtual environment including server, virtual desktop, and physical server environments to maintain a high level of performance and reliability.
The Systems Engineer performs a wide variety of installation, configuration and upgrading of workstations and servers, and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment.
They provide investigation, diagnostics testing and repair / resolution of all systems to insure reliability, performance and security of those systems.
The Systems Engineer manages disaster recovery functions for the networks and plans, designs, and tests procedures and mechanisms to prevent various types of network failures.
This position is required to recommend changes to security policies and procedures, and recommends changes to the IT infrastructure.
