JOB DESCRIPTION :
A Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with potential clients, conducting market research, developing sales strategies, and ultimately driving revenue growth for a company by acquiring new customers and expanding market presence; their key duties include lead generation, networking, relationship management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute new business initiatives.
JOB SUMMARY :
- Market research and analysis : Analyze industry trends, competitor landscape, and potential market segments to identify new business opportunities.
- Lead generation : Proactively source and qualify potential clients through various channels like networking, cold calling, email outreach, and attending industry events.
- Relationship building : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective clients.
- Sales pipeline management : Create and manage a pipeline of potential new business opportunities, tracking progress through the sales cycle.
- Proposal development : Craft compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs, highlighting the value proposition of the company's products or services.
- Negotiation : Negotiate contract terms and pricing with potential clients to secure new business deals.
- Customer onboarding : Facilitate smooth transition of new clients into the company and ensure successful implementation.
- Reporting and analysis : Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools
- Performs other duties as requested.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :
Receives direct supervision from the Business Development Director. The position has no formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
The principal duties of this position are to perform in an indoor and outdoor environment.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY :
This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Services has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and / or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
